    Dark sunset upon herd of cattle located in Madison CA..Sunset reflections..reflective signs..flash photography.

    Same photo as above but taken through Adobe Photo Shop "curves"

    Reflections of days gone by and cattle grazing before becoming grub.

    Bless those beasts of beauty.

    I'm no vegan;
    I don't eat much meat;
    But I REALLY enjoy grilled tri-tip and rib-eye marinated flank steak.

    (Sorry lil cowzerz...but your muscle and fat taste SO fine...)

    I love hearing and seeing cattle graze on green pastures.

    Sunsets warm my heart and make me feel thankful to be alive.

    All of these things plus much much more I'm thankful for.

    Gideeyup Cowboy! Let's get'em doggies home!

    Thanks for coming by.

    This post reminds me of a time a spent traveling with the YO-YO sisterhood;
    might have to fill you in on that cowboy trip some more.

    Girls gotta have fun! ---
    That's why the Almighty created horses and cattle.....

    &
    cowboys.

    I highly recommend the Siamese cat scene.

    Second Saturday Art Walk in Sacramento..August..kitty girl..trees..Mickey's Malt Liquor Beer..Yoshio Taylor..Abstract....

    Started the evening with something I haven't sipped in a long while;
    MICKEY'S malt liquor beer with a squeeze of fresh lime and a bit-O-salt.

    Refreshing!

    Yep, the secret's out, as you can see I'm a high-end-beer-connoisseur-kind-of-a-chick.;0)

    Here is a HOT SPOT during the art walk.
    Crowds of people stream in and out of this gallery.
    Vendor's line the street selling their wares
    and
    a band plays along the sidewalk while the audience
    sits on folded chairs set up alongside parked cars.

    Street Walkers

    Self Portrait

    Action Shot.

    This building offers huge loft spaces along with fine dining and retail establishments.

    I believe a local artist, teacher, sculptor, Yoshio Taylor (link), employs the loft on the corner.

    Abstract

    I see an action figure strutting his stuff with electric boots on. Don't you?

    Popeye the sailor man. The manly-man's planter. ... Plants transplanted into larger containers....

    Found this volunteer plant while weeding the lawn and knew just what to do with it.
    Punch drainage holes in bottom of container and fill with the gift that keeps on growing.
    Not sure if this green thornacious cutie is an Aloe plant
    or
    something of the likes of the plant in the Broadway musical
    "Little shop of Horrors."???
    It's a succulent for sure, and it looks similar to an Aloe plant
    but
    the leaves aren't as full or as cushion-ee as the healing plant of the Aloe.

    Porch plants doing great! (so far) ;0)

    Put this colorful baby into hanging mode.

    I've seen hummingbirds galore checking out
    the newest flora on the block; and those
    HUGE black bumble bees that seem to defy gravity
    and
     lots of common honey bees buzzing around.

    An incredible coffee-ice-cream-colored praying mantis made its home
    within the gardenia leaves and flower buds for awhile.

    All is well for the time being, and I received a 25.00 gift card for participating
    in an all-day forum (America Speaks/ California Speaks (link))
    which I'll be spending on what else?....more plants. Yay!

    Would love to make a bird bath similar
    to the one found at Ann and Rick's blog

    BTW, Ann is an amazing illustrator.
    I just purchased an adorable illustration she put up for auction on ebay.
    AND Ann's husband, Rick is an amazing photographer of the universe.

    August 06

    I'm working on a lap top tonight. Can't get my photos to load properly. My computer is at the Doctors getting cured from a virus infection. Why are people so cruel?

    What's new at jenj's home?

    More plants!

    Found a volunteer baby Aloe Vera plant when I was weeding the grass the other day.
    I replanted it into an empty can of Popeye's brand spinach.
    The logo art on the label is very retro looking.
    You'll get to see it soon.

    I thought it would be uploaded this evening but I've had problems.

    Oh, yeah, I transplanted my flowers into nice larger containers.
     I'm proud to say that their turgor pressure's gone up and they look erect and happy.

    I wanted to purchase a hummingbird feeder but forgot.

    Guess what?!...

    ...a humming bird came buzzing around anyway and sucked the nectar
    from some tiny purple flowers.

    And...

    I'm very happy with a hanging planter I put together for the porch.
    You'll see a pict.of that in the future as well.
    (I know...you JUST can't wait!)

    That's all folks! Thanks for dropping by.
    I really need to change blog hosts;
    Apparently folks are having troubles making it through the foggy web-stream-of-life.

    I miss greeting you at my welcome mat of the web.
